Aishwarya Rai Bachan was born on 1st November 1973. She is an Indian film actress. She initally worked as a model before starting her acting career, and ultimately won the Miss World pageant in 1994. She made her acting debut in Mani Ratnam's Tamil film "Iruvar" in 1997, and had her first commercial success in the Tamil movie "Jeans" in 1998. Her First successful movie in bollywood cinema is "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" in 1999. From that she won Filmfare Best Actress Award. Other successful movie of Aishwaria is multistarer "Devdas" in 2002 with Shahrukh Khan & Madhuri. From that she won her second Filmfare Best Actress Award. After that she worked in "Dhoom 2" in 2006, which was her biggest commercial success in India. After that she appears in "Guru" in 2007, "Jodhaa Akbar" in 2008, and "Enthiran" in 2010, which were commercially and critically successful. She has established herself as one of the leading contemporary actresses in Bollywood.
